What Is Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia? 

Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia (CPT) is a rare orthopedic condition in which the tibia is abnormally weak and fails to heal normally. Children may develop repeated fractures, progressive deformity, limb shortening and difficulty standing or walking. Patient Presentation – Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia 

A young child presented with an unhealed shin bone (Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia), progressive deformity, and instability of the leg. Walking had become increasingly difficult, and the family was seeking a long-term solution after previous treatment had failed to achieve bone healing.

Treatment Challenges in Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia

• Correct the deformity and restore proper alignment
• Provide a stable, functional limb capable of weight bearing
